In 2024 My Wish for You

If you’re reading this message, it means you’ve been blessed with another year. Another opportunity to make a difference for yourself and someone else.
Offer Support by Being a Great Listener
Everyone claims to be a great listener, but so few people genuinely feel heard. Most people try to jump in with a solution by asking, “How can I make the situation easier for you?” Often times, people want to have their emotions and needs heard first. Good listeners mirror the words of the individual they’re listening to. Mirroring is a way of acknowledging one’s feelings by echoing what’s being said. For example, someone says, “I’m having a tough time at work.” You would say, “I understand that you’re having a tough time at work. How would you like me to help?” Validating a person’s feelings brings comfort and helps to build a personal connection. Comforting someone who’s struggling can be a difficult task, but being present and acknowledging their feelings can provide the support they need at a challenging time.

 Share Your Experience.
Giving material possessions or money is one way to help, but sharing your own experience can inspire people to move forward when they’re feeling stuck or lost in a situation. As a mentor, you help guide others on their journey to financial freedom, overcoming trauma, or other problems you’ve solved in your own life. Imparting the relevant truth about situation you’ve gone through can alleviate the stress of feeling alone in their experience. Be honest, not brutal as the goal is to provide value, not harm. Whether speaking at a conference, sending a heartfelt message, or leaving an online review, there are many ways you can share your experience with others to help them grow and be triumphant in whatever circumstances they’re encountering.
 Express Your Appreciation.
If you ask most people who hate their jobs why they do, they’d likely express that they feel underappreciated. In any capacity, a worker is expending time and energy for the well-being of the company. Regularly giving people compliments on a job well done is a great way to help others see the best in themselves and keeps morale high.
 Volunteer in Your Community
Volunteering for organizations or families is a great way to help people in need. Browse through volunteer roles in your local community as a resource. Consider tying your skillset to a volunteer opportunity. For example, if you love to read books, you can volunteer at a library to help excite people about reading. If you’re an outstanding sales representative on your day job, you might help a charity raise funds. Raising money to help a family in need or charitable organization is a great way to support people in the community. My cause is now and will always be Autism.
In 2024 I wish you peace, prosperity, and introspection. Look for ways to make a difference!
